Guys despite the repeated warnings teams are still sharing answers amongst themselves.....

this is last time we are gonna remind you guys.....this wont be tolerated.....

the next time there will be a post but it wont be with a warning....we simply mention the names of the guys disqualified

Dear hunters this is to let you all know that this year treasure hunt does not end when the last level is cracked....obviously the person cracking the last level will be declared the winner...but there is a loyality prize as well, which will be awarded to the person who hunted for the longest time...so dont be disheartened if you fail to be the first to crack the last level, keep hunting....you will get there eventually!!!even if you dont you just might get sumthing else!!!!!!!

A Small Piece of Advice....or whatever you may like to call it.

It is being noticed that some teams have been trying some clever means in the past hour or two to get to answers .....like php injection. They are advised to refrain from such cleverness or else they might be disqualified for the sole reason of being too clever. Other teams are also advised to refrain from treading on those paths in the days to come.

Another piece of advice.

Dont share your answers ...it will do you no good.

Now that the Treasure Hunt 2009 has officially begun...you can start posting your queries and discussions here.

Rules @ Treasure Hunt 2009

This event is open for all

A team of three can participate

Registration is compulsory

No unfair means can be tolerated which includes SQL injection, Dictionary attacks and hacking or anything of this sort whatsoever

The questions will be of three level of difficulties

Easy level: Majority of questions will be of this type (>=60%)

Medium level (>=20%)

Tough level (<=20%)

Tough level will be basically a multiple answer type question with three possible answers.

Depending upon how close your answer is to the exact answer you will be given promotion of three, two, or one level.

Hints will be given time to time on each question level as well as on the official blog

There will be a loyalty bonus for teams striving hard yet falling short of goal as based on time devoted there will be a lucky draw.

If the teams are found to share answer among them the teams will be out of the competition without any warning.

The final discretion lies with the coordinators and administrator.
